I am not a lawyer.....Please take your own legal advice, and I will not be held responsible for anything you read here. I joined Which and paid for legal advice from their experts.I get advice for 6 months for 12pounds 50. The person I spoke to was very clear and concise. This is my own problem 1 I have no claim against the person who sold me my navara. It was a private sale ,pickup being 4 months old ,and 3,000 miles on the clock 2 I,m time barred under Scottish law My navara is 7 years old this november It blew up at 82,000 miles despite expensive sevicing 3 I have no claim against the manufacturer ie Nissan.Scottish law and English law differ .For anyone to claim Nissan directly would cost a lot of money 20,000 quid I have been told ,under a law called Tort (English law) and will involve engineers reports etc .In the event of losing, that individual will be liable for Nissans expenses. If there are enough of us at a future time then this may be a collective option. My remedy is in 2 parts 1 A claim against the company who sold me no2 engine The same fault exists and is only a question of time as to when it blows up So a letter has been sent invoking Section 14 Sale of Goods Act 1979,as ammended I will let you all know what happens 2 I paid all my expenses by credit card.so I have protection under Section75Consumer Credit Act 1974 if this is not resolved. My credit card company has been notified of dispute. You might also want to check out Goods and Services Act1982 Ideally we need a lot of us to take Nissan on in Court There is more than enough evidence now to prove our point, that these engines are Crap and not fit for purpose Any other info I,m here 01851 710287 weenib@hotmail.com Let,s start talking and get this sorted out Good luck everyone
