Hello I am new to the site and was looking for information on "sudden power loss" that I am suffering on my 2005 Pathfinder. The symptoms are exactly as described in the thread found on this website. Although the fault does not always occur and on the test drive during rush hour I could not get the fault to happen. The vehicle has been to a Nissan dealer who reported no faults and the dealership (not Nissan) I bought the car from is refusing to deal with the problem. The 1 year aftermarket warranty is about to run out. I have logged the problem with them but they refuse to acknowledge that anything is wrong and say that if the Nissan engine diagnostic equipment cannot find a fault then they will not carry out any work. Does anyone have any updated information on the problem, causes and fixes. Many thanks ...

thanks for the advice however - i changed the fuel filter as soon as the fault occured as it seemed like a fuel starvation fault. it made no difference. the dealer also changed it again (eventually) and that made no difference. they also changed the fuel filter , fuel rail and pump. i still have the fault.

I listed a thread today regarding same problem with my navara. according to a friend of a friend who is a nissan mechanic it is down to a connector being dirty on the gearbox. It selects the gear etc and is telling he ecu that it is in neutral. Dissconnect clean and reconnect will sort prob or replace same part.

This is an old thread i know but i had the same problem with my 2008 Navara dci. Turned out to be a valve assembly that regulates the air flow to the turbo. £170 +vat from Nissan and its right as rain. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.
