Hi All ,Nissan do not make filters .They have to buy them in from a manufacturer There have been legal test cases over this subject and I,m awaiting information of these tests from a couple of sources in the UK. All filters ,whether oil, fuel or air have to comply with certain standards so if you have not used " genuine parts" and have used filters which can be bought over the counter in an Autoparts shop or Halfords etc ,these filters have conform to specifications and should not negate your warranty.Nissan genuine filters are only a way of making money from you Here,s an example My vacuum lift "priming pump has burst a diaphragm I had a quote from a Nissan dealer in Inverness yesterday 28th May for this pump .I was quoted 124 ponds plus vat plus postage I can buy one off the shelf in Stornoway for 24 pounds plus vat It would need slight modification, but look at the saving .Further I,ve just had a phone call from a source and he has told me that under Block Exemption Regulations ,it is Illegal to claim that the non use of "Genuine parts" will negate your warranty More on this later after I read these Regs The Internet is a wonderful tool
