Nissan Navara which is 1 year old - clutch problems diagnosed as the need for re-grinding the clutch and replacing plate and fly wheel at a cost of $1700. We called Nissan customer service who were very rude and said that this is not covered by the 5-year new car guarantee, that it was 'usage' problems. I asked what they meant by 'usage' and whether a new car, under 50,000 kms should be covered. They said that it depended on how the car was being used. Answer to that was that the car is being used at weekends on 4-wheel driving but locally in South Australia, not in the outback, if you know what I mean. And by an experienced driver who has had other vehicles with no problems - i.e. does not ride the clutch etc. The customer service rep. refused to continue talking with me and hung up on me when I said that this call was being recorded
