Hi Sorry in advance for any lack in knowledge here but trying to get my head around the problems with my d22. Had the famous con rod problem sorted only to have the timing chain tensioner seize and chain to come of causing alot of damage to the head and my pocket!! Got this sorted with complete new kit and oil pump included, now a few hundred miles later and a knocking started in the top of the engine, knew it wasnt belts cause i have already done the water test and it wouldnt quiten this time,so back to the mechanic and he says the chain has slipped a link and the tensioner doesnt seem to be keeping it tight!! Could it b a faulty tensioner or is there no pressure to keep it tight? Any help would be much appreciated!
