Thank you for contacting Nissan Customer Services regarding the issue concerning your Nissan Navara.
I was sorry to learn of the issue that you have had with the connecting rod failure in your Nissan Navara, registration number PX52***. I write to confirm that, as your vehicle is now 6 years and 6 months old and has covered 98,500 miles, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd will not be able to support you with the cost of this repair.
Nissan has put in place an extended warranty of 5 years or 93,000 miles (whichever comes first) for the connecting rod bearing issue, however, once the warranty expires, the responsibility for all the repairs becomes that of the owner and I trust you will understand that, at some point in the vehicles lifetime, we must end our financial liability.
I appreciate that this response will be met with disappointment and I apologise that we are unable to meet your expectations.
