:'(Firstly hi everyone, I must tell you our horror story, but be warned it is a very long one, but I shall try to keep it short,We have(HAD) a d22 outlaw 53plate my pride and joy ,brought in 06 ,two days before our big move down country the rods shot throu ,no warning ,3/4 rods gone, we were a month over our 3 year warranty as you can imagine nissan did not want to know, we found a company in gloustershire called Wyeside ltd who promised for 3,200 to give us a re con engine great!! It lasted 6 weeks ,they took are money and screwed us over praying on poor folk like us, i had to go throu trading standards (we were 230 compaint about company) police and solicitors then 4 months later they took it back then 6 months |I finally got it back ,this was last september 08 ,To rub salt in to wounds nissan sent me my 5 year warranty in november with there RULES attached to this. This Monday the rods went again we were on the A30 and within 10 mins the knocking started we quickly pulled over as it got louder and louder!!Engine now number 4 needed, I carnt tell you how angry I am, I now am in debt from all the expence ,made me ill, and now maybe loosing my job because I cannot get to work(Com carer) ,I was one of the first people to complain about Nissan in the beginging and nobody wanted to know and I am no further forward ,2moro trying to find a re con engine again, when will it all end!!!!!Lets hope they also dont rip us off like last time ! ???

Sorry about your bad news, but, as with so many others, 'been there, done that'. Before you put the fifth one in, strengthen it up! Throw away the defective Nissan bearings, con rod bolts and modify the sump to oil pump 'O' ring. All this will cost less than a hundred, but will vastly strengthen the bottom end, like it should have been in the first place! Are you listening Nissan?
