Hi guys, have just sent my first e-mail off to Nissan uk to ask for reimbursment for my blown engine. Been in the local garage since October but I wasn't in a hurry cos I bought a Land Cruiser very cheap to keep me going. Got the Navarra back and is running better than ever with a bill of just over £3000 for the privelage. I have a full service history with the first 3 being done by the supplying garage and the rest by my local garage using Nissan Parts. What do you think the chances are of getting paid from them, and any pionters of how to negotiate would be much appreciated. Vehicle details, 2004 Navarra double cab, 45000 miles from new.

Hi Guys, just a quick update. Phone call from Mark at Nissan UK with an offer of £1900 towards the garage bill of £3100. He argued that Nissan would take 19 hours for the whole job and my garage took 48. So they will only pay for the 19 hours that they allocate. I tried to respond that they charge £80 per hour and my garage are £30, so in money terms they are actually better off. That sort of fell on deaf ears, and with a lot of guys getting nothing from Nissan, I thought it was better than poke in the eye with a stick and took the money. Will let you know when it arrives.
Cheers
Stevie ;D
