Hi Jason .Welcome to our site and thank you for your comments You may be right about the bolt problem although we have had an alternative cause of problem from 2 engine experts and their opinion is that the top shell big end bearing is not up to the job and fails .Mike Booths article is contained within the posts and the Watchdog expert confirms What puzzles me is ,that you have come here with" the fix".It is posted on other sites and thank you again for bringing it here ,but ,this is nissans problem and they should be fixing .If you and others know then why do nissan not know and doing it when they should be ie before someone gets killed .The D22navara has been described as "not fit for purpose".I,ve seen the same for the D40 in here This whole controversy must be costing nissan a fortune and when I see deals on the internet for reductions of up to 8,000 pounds on new pickups ,this site is working very well for the benefit of members I,m also hearing from companies who are buying the new Toyota instead of the Navara .Any member is free to repair their vehicle at their own expense, but it is really nissans responsibility Regards Niall
