Spoke to maria white again today and she started by saying that the engineer that was meant to be coming out would need to see the hole in the block and the sump pan off so he could see the crank, but until she saw my service history to hang fire 
After a discussion with my mechanic we came to the conclusion that taking the buggered lump out completely so this engineer chap could see what he already knows and the cause, would mean cost and things would start getting messy. I quickly faxed my service history to Maria and she phoned back promptly and told me that it was pretty good and she is having the vehicle picked up and taken to Glynn Hopkins Nissan in MK for an engine strip down and diagnosis, im sure they will reach the same conclusion that I already have 
So hopefully fingers crossed I might be getting the old girl back soon.
